Writing standard

Articles put the answer near the beginning and explain the conditions, exceptions and checks needed to make a decision. Calculations based on assumptions are distinguished from measurements. We do not invent first-hand experience with products we have not used.

Checking sources

For information that can change, such as public programs, safety guidance and product specifications, we prioritize official institutions and manufacturers. A source link does not mean that every statement in an article has been verified.

Review records

When claims and calculations have been checked against sources, the article records the date and scope of that check. Older articles without a record are being reviewed in stages. A source check does not imply expert review, hands-on testing or measurements taken in the field.

Use of AI

We use AI for research, drafting and revision. An AI response is not itself evidence for a factual claim; important claims should be supported by verifiable sources. We do not claim human review or personal experience that did not take place.

Updates and corrections

When information changes or an error is identified, we revise the content and reflect the change in its update date. Significant corrections should be explained in the article.
